The broadest material range we carry. Fibrex composite, aluminum-clad wood, and a custom program that will match nearly any color or shape you can draw.

Andersen has been building windows for over a century, and their range is wider than anything else we carry. The 100 Series uses Fibrex, a composite of reclaimed wood fiber and polymer that is roughly twice as rigid as vinyl. The E-Series is aluminum-clad wood, built to order in nearly any color or shape. Different problems, different products.
Three reasons Andersen earns its place, and they are not the reasons the ads give.
Reclaimed wood fiber bound in polymer, roughly twice as rigid as vinyl. That buys you narrower frames and more glass, and it holds a dark exterior finish in direct sun without deforming.
Aluminum-clad wood, built to order in nearly any color and nearly any shape. This is the line we reach for when a house has arched, trapezoid, or otherwise non-rectangular openings.
Andersen's low-E coatings, chosen wall by wall rather than sold as one package for the whole house. The coating on your west elevation is worth more than any other line item on the order.

Structurally, yes. It is about twice as rigid, so frames can be narrower and you get more glass in the same hole. It also holds dark colors in direct sun where vinyl would soften. Whether it is worth the price difference depends on your elevation and your budget.
That is the E-Series' entire reason for existing. Arches, trapezoids, half-rounds, and a very deep color range. If your house has geometry a stock catalog cannot cover, this is where we look first.
Sometimes. If you need custom shapes, dark exteriors, or a wood interior, nothing else we carry does those as well. If you have standard rectangular openings and want the best glass performance per dollar, another line will usually beat it. We are not on a quota, so we will say so.
It is never exposed. On the E-Series the exterior is aluminum-clad, so wood only lives on the inside face where it stays out of the sun. Solid unclad wood on a west-facing Arizona wall is a maintenance problem we will not sell you.
We pair top-rated, desert-tested products with installers who treat your home like their own. See which brand and glass package fits your home and budget, on the house.
